I feel like there's something else I need to do in order to get the two programs to talk to each other, but I can't figure out what that could be (and I've been combing the Internet for over a day now to figure it out there's precious little info out there about using plugins with GB, and what material is out there doesn't really speak to my situation. In this scenario, you need to upgrade your Kontakt Player to the full version of Kontakt. it recorded, but I have to switch to a GB instrument in order to hear anything.) If you are seeing the word demo written on your Kontakt library, one of a few things can be occurring. If you do not licence it, it will display, and work, as Kontakt Player. (I just tried recording with it as well, thinking maybe it would be audible on playback, but that didn't work either. They are not - you install Kontakt (or Kontakt Player, whichever download you have). I put the LCD display in "chord" mode to make sure that I was still getting a signal when trying to use the plugin, and it was registering that I was playing the notes. I switched the sound generator to Kontakt, and nada. I used a couple of the native GB instruments first to make sure that I could hear those.

I opened Kontakt Player and loaded a demo sound, made sure that it played with Kontakt's onscreen keyboard, and opened GB. Crap, I still can't hear sound even with the MIDI keyboard.
